Vinay is a state registered physiotherapist who graduated from Kasturba Medical College Hospital, Mangalore, India in 2004. Following that he worked at Bombay Hospital in a multidisciplinary setting mainly responsible for treating patients with severe neuromuscular dysfunctions. In year 2007 Vinay decided to pursue his professional career by specialising in neuro-musculoskeletal dysfunction. He specialised his studies in Neuro-musculoskeletal Physiotherapy at Sheffield Hallam University, Sheffield in year 2008.
After finishing MSc from Sheffield Hallam, Vinay relocated to Manchester and began working at Care UK (NHS) as Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist. Currently he combines his work at Care UK (NHS) with Gems Physio Clinic.
Vinay is also trained in Injection Therapy and Acupuncture. He has done Diploma in Injection Therapy from University of Central Lancashire, Preston and 80 hours Foundation course in Acupuncture from Acupuncture Association of Charted Physiotherapist (AACP).
Vinayhas a special research interest and has presented a paper on effect of Diaphragmatic Breathing Cycle on pre-hypertensive patients which has been awarded as best paper in IAP Conference 2007.
Vinay's individualized physiotherapy treatment programs include manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, acupuncture and education. His goal is to assist patients in attaining their maximal functional potential and to be independent with a home exercise program. Vinay enjoys participating in continuing professional development courses in order to keep his skill updated with new treatment approaches and exercises.
Vinay is multi-lingual, speaking Hindi, Urdu, Gujarati, Punjabi, Rajasthani and English.
Vinay is a member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), Acupuncture Association of Charted Physiotherapist (AACP) and also registered with the Health& Care Professions Council (HCPC).
